Smarts Agents and Smarts Environments: a Predictive Approach to Replanning
نویسندگان
چکیده
There is an increasing interest in the design and development of smart environments as they can be used to implement valuable applications aiming at improving the quality of life. However, another important issue, which has not been yet fully investigated, concerns the design and development of agents able to effectively and efficiently act in the new and emerging smart environments characterized by an increasing complexity and openness. This paper proposes a novel approach for dynamic (re)planning for agents which come into and would act in such kind of smart environments. The flexibility of the approach makes it exploitable also in the design of the replanning capabilities of smart environments both conceived as single rational entities that as a multi agent systems.

Applying SMARTS to SPEC CPU 2000
Current software-based microarchitecture simulators are many orders of magnitude slower than the hardware they simulate. Hence, most microarchitecture design studies draw their conclusions from drastically truncated benchmark simulations that are often inaccurate and misleading. This paper presents the Sampling Microarchitecture Simulation (SMARTS) framework as an approach to enable fast and ac...
متن کاملJmol SMILES and Jmol SMARTS: specifications and applications
BACKGROUND SMILES and SMARTS are two well-defined structure matching languages that have gained wide use in cheminformatics. Jmol is a widely used open-source molecular visualization and analysis tool written in Java and implemented in both Java and JavaScript. Over the past 10 years, from 2007 to 2016, work on Jmol has included the development of dialects of SMILES and SMARTS that incorporate ...
متن کاملUse of personalized Dynamic Treatment Regimes (DTRs) and Sequential Multiple Assignment Randomized Trials (SMARTs) in mental health studies
Dynamic treatment regimens (DTRs) are sequential decision rules tailored at each point where a clinical decision is made based on each patient's time-varying characteristics and intermediate outcomes observed at earlier points in time. The complexity, patient heterogeneity, and chronicity of mental disorders call for learning optimal DTRs to dynamically adapt treatment to an individual's respon...
متن کاملDirect SMARTS: Accelerating Microarchitectural Simulation Through Direct Execution
Due to growing complexity and costs of hardware systems, computer architects traditionally rely on software simulation to evaluate new designs. Although software simulation excels in convenience and flexibility, it suffers from prohibitively long turnaround time. Researchers are constantly searching for methods to accelerate software simulations. SMARTS is a framework that uses rigorous statist...
متن کاملParsers for SMILES and SMARTS
SMILES [1] and SMARTS [2] are two line notations developed by Daylight and implemented in a number of chemical informatics software tools. For the most part these are hand-written parsers and quite complicated and hard to read, modify, maintain, optimize or reuse. A traditional computer science approach would use a parsing system like lex/yacc but that has not made much inroad in computational ...
